A little help, please

Things are looking up for March 2016, but first I need to get through February. I have huge winter heating bills, and the program that helps with those bills hasn't been funded yet. Winter is no joke up here on the mountain. We get snow, and temperatures regularly fall below freezing.

I've been writing articles f
or eBay, and they are reliable, but it takes them a month to pay. This means that I'll get paid in March, but I'm already behind on my January utility bills.

Cal State Fullerton has invited me to sit on a panel at their Philip K. Dick conference at the end of April, and I plan to accept. I don't drive (I quit driving due to a serious head injury a few years ago), but a friend has agreed to drive me to my brother's house, and then my brother can drive to Fullerton.

My friends and family have helped as much as they can, so I just need a little more money to pay those bills.  I'm about $100 short.

Snow on the mountain

It snowed night before last, and the temperatures are falling down to the 20s at night.  I just hope that I can pay the heating bill when it comes in. So far, the cats and the electric blanket are keeping me warm at night, but I have to run the heater, or the water pipes will freeze.

I hope you're all doing well this winter.

Sorry for neglecting this site. I keep forgetting that I have a memoir.
I bought a bottle of ginkgo biloba, but I forgot what I was taking it for.
I'll try to remember to stop by more often.

My memory is failing

there's a fire in these mountains, but it does not seem to be threatening my area

Update March 2013

Well, I've been busy lately.  Hosted two shows on Freedomizer Radio, issued two new novels (actually, they are updates of two old novels -- Origins has become Fallen Angels, and another novel, which shall remain unnamed, has become The Darkening of the Light -- both are considerably longer than the original works).

Last July I broke my leg and tore the ligaments in my knee.  The arthritis is getting bad, making it hard to type.  The degenerative disk disease is making my back so bad that I'm seriously considering a wheelchair.

But, hey, I'm still here and still writing!

The sun is starting to shine on my garden, so it's time to take the little plants out of the window and plant them outside, as soon as I'm certain that it isn't going to snow again.

Life is good, as long as you remains strong!
